International
Sport Cooperation Center of Korea (ISC) hosted a special lecture as a part of
the Dream Program under the theme of "Champions of Tomorrow" on
January 19 at Alpensia Resort, PyeongChang, Gangwon Province, South Korea.
The
Dream Program is the main legacy of PyeongChang¡¯s bidding process of the
Olympic Winter Games and it has provided with the opportunity to experience
winter sports for young people from Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern and
African countries where winter sports are not yet vitalized.
This
year's program particularly included a special lecture ¡°Champions of Tomorrow¡±
planned by the ISC for the purpose of giving the participants a better understanding
of the Olympic Winter Games, values of sport and the quality of a true
champion.
The
lecture consists of five group activities: Champions¡¯ Torch Relay, Express
Winter Sports through your Body, Fair Play vs Unfair Play, We are the Champions
and the Champion¡¯s Oath ceremony. These activities were designed to help the
participants learn through experience and overcome the language barrier.
The ISC,
the host of the lecture, has been contributing through various endeavors
including the development of the educational program for the Korean national
team and the hosting of International Sport Cooperation Conferences on
multiple occasions.
Mr.
Yong-Soon Kim, the President of the ISC, mentioned that the lecture,
¡°Champions of Tomorrow¡± will be an unforgettable experience for the young
participants of the program and also help them to pursue their dreams for the
future.
